I have changed some parts. The first hotend holder I printed with SLA (SeryaTec Blu). But that turned out to be not stable. The energy chain has bent quite a bit. So I printed the new holder with PETG.

I also made the holder more assembly friendly. For this purpose, the fan is attached via 3 x 3mm bolts and secured with only one screw.

If you have problems with the fusion360 file, go to grabcad, here is a nativ export with fusion, that works.

Update with a new energy chain management.

for the first shot it works good, see pictures. i have extended the BL touch as Z sensor.
All square nuts I ve attached with self-adhesive tape additionally. that has mounting advantages. the screws do not loosen due to the vibrations, since the adhesive is also between thread and screw.

The mounting of the fan works, but I think, if I feel like it, I do it as a swallowtail nut and secure it with a screw. is more maintenance friendly. or who wants... that Fusion File is indeed uploaded with

This is my PLUS version of the Tronxy X5SA-Pro 400. Almost all parts can be adapted to the smaller / larger brothers.

The X5SA pro is a reasonably good basis. You can't get a solid basis cheaper. But you still have to do a lot to get a good printer.

Goal of the conversion:

• Completely enclosed, tightly possible for later heating
• Direct drive
• Water cooling
• new firmware
• new board
• better Z drive
• more stable
  and above all: better cables (suitable for drag chains)

Status 2022-01-27
Frame angle - tested and installed
Switch housing - tested and installed
Z-drive with one motor - tested and installed
On / off housing - tested and installed
Connector housing - tested and installed
Water expansion tank - should work as a further development from an older version that was installed
Cable tray holder - tested and installed
Holder for water installation - to come
Holder for hotend - design ok, not tested
