Description
A braille slate and stylus is used to handwrite braille dots.
Our braille slate for 6-dot braille has 4 lines of 20 braille cells.
The slate is printed in two separate pieces then joined at the hinge using a nail or screw.
The stylus requires a 2mm small-headed nail to be inserted at the tip and secured with glue. We highly recommend filing the tip of the nail head before using.
With thanks to Jim Smiley at Monash University Inclusive Technologies for the design of the slate, inspired by the NextSense thing:2705166.
