Makita Router air diverter

This is an air diverter for the Makita Trim Router. When this popular router is used in place of a CNC spindle it blows down and scatters the dust. This air diverter sends the air sidewise and makes the vacuum more effective. I have used this now for several weeks on my CNC machines and it works great - there is the added benefit of noise reduction. The usual high-pitched whine of the motor and bearings is muffed.

I have used the on CNC cuts lasting 2 hours and there has been no overheating.

The diverter is attached buy a zip tie and the protrusion of the red spindle locking button. There is still enough space to use two collet wrenches to change the bits.
