Description
I've always wanted to make a printed brushless whoop frame but I was never quite successful. I got inspired again, mainly due to the fact that I was out of frames and no local shop had stock.
So after a few weeks of testing, I'm finally happy to release it into the wild.
It is a 75mm frame, my favourite, and I drew a lot of inspiration from the R3dShifter and the NBD frames.
I tested the motor mounts with PLA, PETG and SBS and I end up thickening up the parts and printing in all lightweight SBS filament. It weighs the same as a NBD 75mm frame with a carbon piece. It's a little on the heavy side and may not be a permanent solution, even though the final version is quite durable, but it sure comes in handy when you need a frame fast.
There is some assembly required.
Battery Mount: This piece is folded or heat-formed and inserted into the frame. Please note the orientation, there are 3 layer tabs on the top side and will cause a fail if you print it the wrong way around.
Motor Mounts: These parts are heat formed. I found it best to use a hairdryer or to pour hot / recently boiled water over the posts and bend them over the motor mould.
Please note the orientation of the motor mounts, the 2-pointy screw protection tips on the bottom and pointing outwards.
The pieces were designed to clip in place and glue should not be needed but I suppose it won't hurt. Just don't use superglue on SBS, I found that it crystallizes the plastic and it loses all its elasticity and becomes brittle.

Update:
I've added a lite version where I shaved about 1.5g off and thickened up the motor holder posts at the duct insert, as this is the only place I've had breaks.
