Description

###Vent for commercial greenhouse tent.

Printed this light weight vent to ensure proper areation of my greenhouse during sunny days. Venting can be regulated by closing or opening the internal disk, rotating it by 90 degrees.

All edges are round to avoid pinching the tent during windy days movements.

####Assembly required (intermediate skills)

#####Components:

  1. 4x M3 12mm inox
  2. 4x M3 nuts

#####Positioning:

  1. Used top part to draw 4 holes on the tent at desired position.
  2. Heated a long 3mm nail with a heat gun to create 4 holes in the plastic (be quick!!!)
  3. Heated metal will quickly melt a circular holes in the plastic tent without creating cuts that may start cracks on the tent.
  4. Inserted M3 bolts in top part and mounted them temporarly on the tent

#####Tent cutting:

  1. Used the top round frame to draw cutting circular line on the tent
  2. Cutted tent with a cutter.
  3. Refined cuts after removing the top element.

Once the circular cut has been done, you can assemble the vent on the tent using M3 bolts. Not easy, but with some practice it could be assembled easily.

Threads are thight, and bolts can be screwed in plastic, for quicker mount threads may be enlarged with a small round file or a 3.5mm drill bit.
