Description
The print surface/heatbed platform was designed to accomodate a 240mm print surface and the original 200mm heatbed (3.1mm thick). So far, I haven't noticed any problems because the heatbed is a bit smaller than my maximum print area. Generally, bed level and settings seem to have a greater affect on prints.
Sized to grip the print surface edges, there is no need for a fastener or knob to hold its edges. The support can be printed on kossel or FLSUN with a minimum print area of 169mm. The support dimensions are W 168.15mm * L 89.44mm * H 9.5mm.
The values depicted above and the success of the support are based on an expanded Kossel Linear frame, expanded using the frame extending corners, which I designed. The current design extends the frame by 110mm on each side, requiring firmware and hardware upgrades to account for the broader frame. These supports are one of the last upgrades that I designed.
Updates...
I recently redesigned the platform to better fit the frame and to reduce surface material. They are designed to sit against the base of the stabilizers that I designed for delta rails.
