Description
The thread adaptor on my garden tap to the hosepipe split just as I turned on the tap and completely sprayed me with water. I would be happy to pay £2-3 for a replacement but I knew that there are various threads, so I measured and Googled what I needed. With this information on hand, I decided to design my own 3D printed adaptor.
I tried various shapes but settled on this because it can be printed (thread to hot plate) with no support. I also made sure that my nozzle temperature was turned up by about 10 degrees to ensure that the filament layers were properly fused. Finally, the 3.5mm x 21mm rubber washer was retreived from the split adaptor to provide a good water seal.
