Haslab proton pack speaker adapter (2.5 and 3 inch speakers)

This is an adapter I made to put a 3inch speaker into your Haslab proton pack. It uses the same screws as the original speaker and can use the original wires. This gives a most boost in volume, but dramatically improves the sound quality. This mod requires you to open your pack, remove the original speaker (de-solder the wires), place the replacement in (uses the same original screws, or might need slightly longer ones) and solder the new speaker in.

I used these 3 inch book shelf speakers 8-ohm from that jungle website:

You will need to modify the speaker hold down on your motherboard. One will need to be snapped off. The other will need to be trimmed down and shortened. (see picture). I would suggest a dab of glue between the bracket and the pack to ensure it stays in place.
