Description
The purpose of this project is to recycle our beloved 1/18 HSP Mini Rock Crawler (AKA Amewi Kulak / Ninco Boulder) crewer to make them grow up to 1/10 scale (if we take into account that the result will be something equivalent to a Suzuki Vitara).
For this we will need:
The pieces to print are 3:
First of all we will have to drill two holes in each of the rails of the frame. These holes must be 15mm from the bottom ones and in a line parallel to the diagonal edge of the rail, as shown in the photo. In these holes we will fix the ball joints of the Y suspension links.
For the suspension arms we must shorten the original 10mm of each one. We will use two of these 10mm segments to lengthen each of the Y suspension links.
The travel of the front shock absorbers has to be reduced by about 5mm to prevent the wheel from catching the body when turning on very steep descents. I also recommend cutting some of the corners of the body but it's up to you.
So that the chassis sliders do not rub against the body, use the foam with flanges to fix it.
The result is a very light package, with beadlock wheels to balance the weight and with more than enough engine for a crawler and on a 'big' scale and, most importantly, using many of the standard hardware of the original model.
