lego technic ball bearing. Alternative to lego part: 6322255 / 24121

This is a lego technic ball bearing for heavy turrets with easy rotation.

IMPORTANT: There is topside and a bottomside: on the bottom side, the edges are rounded to achieve better printing results.

The original idea of the ball bearing is from the lego set 42082. The main parts for this ball bearing is the lego part 6322255 / 24121. This 3D printable part is an alternative with the advantage that it can be rotated from the outside and is thus more fixed and can be rotated with more force.

Dimensions:
The outside radius is about 170mm. After printing, it is about 169,70mm and fully lego gear compatible. The height after printing is about 7,7 mm. In my experience, this height has worked best without stress inside the rest of the Lego structure and led to a fine and easy rotation of the ball bearing.
It has 168 teeth.

I recommend using a smaller and not driven rotaion mechanism in the middle for more stability: lego part: 6109285 + 6109283
