UPDATED: I made some changes. Someone wasn't happy it wasn't perfectly symmetrical, so I fixed that. I also added a little length to the elements. It seems strong enough, but I would only hang wires from it, unless you have it made with Multi Jet Fusioning (MFJ) PA12.
There is a flare to the shaft(?) of the topper. If you don't want this flare, I have made a second file ending with the name "No Flare". My concern with No Flare, is a weaker 90 degree breaking point.
Do me a favor? If you print it, let me know how it goes! I put a lot of time and energy into these projects and it's usually great to hear input.
Hey, so I did this thing. Recently I released my own branded Carbon Fiber Mast. I am basing an "ecosystem" of parts off the mast.
Coincidentally, others can probably use these parts for their masts.
Yes, giving away these for free does make me hungry because you should have bought a gigadude (available at shop.hamradiodude.com :D); but sharing my thoughts and ideas will help budget friendly hams, engineers who could do a much better job at building this out, and many like minded individuals.
I present to you the Lt. Duece. The second version of the famous "Lt. Dude" antenna, a DX Commander knockoff.
This concept is super cool (subjectively) because it allows for rapid deployment of a multiband vertical antenna as well as easy element cuts for tuning, and no worry about your mast getting E.D.
This may fit your mast, I don't know (Let me know). If you like it, a thanks is great, a super thanks on youtube is great, or a modification to improve it is amazing. For example, I already have a cross shaped "Dude Topper" in design. This would allow 4 wires off the top section of the mast. Perhaps you could add 12m,, 17m (Probably preferred) , or 30m
Don't print this with PLA. PETG seems to work fine at 25 percent infill. You may make it 60 percent Infill for more strength. ABS and ASA would work too.
Video I made regarding the Lt Duece. https://youtu.be/A8-5Uh1bwis (if you can't help in either of those ways, maybe a subscribe andl like wouldn't be too much?)
