Description

Roman style catapult (onager) that uses a teaspoon.

What you need:

Everybody needs: The Complete STL (mepmakes-spoonapult-complete.stl)
This includes 1no Spoonapult body, 2no tension crosses.
Prints on the bed without supports using basic default standard settings, 10% infill or higher.

For Small Children:
A plastic or wooden teaspoon.
Rubber Bands or 2 plain Hair Bobbles.
A 10cm length of Bamboo Kebab Skewer.
Small berries from a garden bush.

For Responsible Adults:
A sturdy metal teaspoon, preferably with rounded sides.
String.
A metal Allen key or similar.
Projectiles of your choosing.

Pass the string or bands through the big holes and around a tension cross on each side. Keep it neat but this doesn't have to be super tight at all.

If using string, tie the ends together.

Place the spoon between the strings and turn the Tension crosses. They will turn by hand initially, but as the tension increases you can use the lever to help.

I've never broken the spoonapult, but the string does fail eventually - it doesn't fly out, it just breaks (in my experience). That said, be careful as it is totally possible to hurt yourself and I accept no repsonsibilty for anything that happens.

Supervise children.

NEVER shoot at people, animals or anything else.

BONUS: I've added an "XL Torsion Cross" This will let you try wider diameter string or do more turns,
