Description

I saw this game posted by GMR329 and thought it was excellent, and I figured it would be great for my grandson. But I changed two things before printing, and decided to share my version.

Printing the base as one single piece the way it was originally, it would never last very long without breaking, I don't think, because tall things like that are so weak when printed vertically, - at least when printed on my FDM printers. So I printed the rods lying horizontally, and threaded them so they can screw in to my modified base. Now the rods are extremely strong. I also oriented all the threads so that none of the flat sides of the rods face outward when bottomed out in the base holes, in case it matters.

I also flattened the bottom of the "O" ball slightly, so that it would print more reliably with no help from raft, brim or support.

But I used the original "X" part exactly as it was from GMR329.
And I have reused 3 of the original images from GMR329.

And because there is room for a max of 27 X's and/or O's on this game - an odd number -, I added one piece that is half "X" and half "O", and I changed colors in the middle while printing it. Why not?

And everything prints great with no support.

I printed the threaded parts at 0.15mm layer height, and the X's and O's were printed at 0.30 layer height.
