PowKiddy RGB30 handle and protective case

The RGB30 from PowKiddy is a pretty unique handheld, that boasts a very nice 720x720 pixels 1:1 ratio screen, making it a really good device for playing GameBoy, NeoGeo Pocket, PICO 8 and even TATE Arcade games. It also plays nicely with 4:3 screen ratio and it has been praised as a pretty good emulation device.

However, the screen is quite exposed and fragile, and the overall blocky design makes it not too comfortable to hold for longer sessions.

This protective cover serves two purposes : it acts as a face cover for transport, when attached to the front. Put it on the back and you get two nice grips, notably improving the grip while ingame. Simply snap it on the sides and you can switch from one purpose to another in an instant.

The central part has been designed with a 0.5 mm clearance between the case wall and the screen, reducing the risk of scratching the screen while the protector is on. Optionally, you can also use some 0.5 mm thick adhesive foam to protect even better the screen. I cut a 78 x 88 mm piece and sticked it inside the center part of the case. It's not strictly necessary, but I noticed that it improves both the screen protection and the feeling of the case while holding the system, making it less flimsy.

The handles are also hollowed in such a way that the cover never interacts with the buttons while on, especially the smaller START and SELECT buttons.
