Gun Safe Magnetic Shotgun Shell Holder

We needed to quickly get to our 12 gauge shotgun shells in case of a home defense emergency. We realized that the back of the gun safe door was wasted space and made for easy access to the shells.

I basically doubled the length of the original holder and added insets for magnets. I purchased some 10x3mm rare earth magnets from Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09ZLFNZ4S/) and attached them to the back. I then simply stuck it to the back of the door using the magnets.

We now have 12 shotgun shells ready to go as soon as you open the gun safe.

There are two sizes. The original is 160mm x 21mm x 45mm. The larger version requires a large format printer. The dimensions of this object are: 318mm x 21mm x 45mm.

Note: When printing, I had to scale up the model to 102% to prevent the shotgun shells from distorting the shape and keep it flat against the door.
