Ohuhu Oahu 40 marker + 1 Oahu blender + 6 Honolulu blender holder / 48 Hololulu

ADDED 3/4/25: ohuhu_honolulu_x48.stl is a 6x8 grid to hold 48 Honolulu-series markers in the same base.

I wanted a good looking, solidly standing horizontal marker organizer for the Ohuhu 40 alcohol marker set so the tips have less chance to dry out. First design was whipped up in Tinkercad, took about 2 hours to print, and was minimally viable. Then I moved over to Fusion 360 and completely redesigned it to be nice enough to have on my desk.

First iteration was a 4 column, 10 row stand and was entirely too flexible and needed paint stir-stick struts. This one is a 5 column, 8 row rack for the Oahu series oval-shaped markers, as well as a 6th column with a 41st hole for the Oahu series blender that comes with it, and 6 larger circular holes for Honolulu-B sized blenders as well.

The Oahu-series marker has fine and chisel tips, measures approximately 158mm long and the oval shape is approximately 14mm x 17mm at the widest point. The larger circular holes are 17.6mm diameter. This stand could be used for any other art supply within those size constraints. The oval cutouts are turned 25 degrees to help fingers get between the other markers to pull them out, but not so far turned that it is difficult to read the color code.

A solid rack/panel design is provided to avoid the "shove the marker in and it falls out the back" syndrome I've experienced more than once. 5 total slots for flexibility.

The slots in the base are 10mm deep, so if you need a custom shaped rack import the solid panel into tinkercad and cut away, but make sure you have that 10mm safe space at the bottom so it can be inserted into the base.

Created in Fusion 360. I'm very, very new at Fusion but have been designing in Tinkercad for years. Hopefully others will find it as useful as I have.

Printed in PETg, parts laid flat. If you want to print the rack parts upright I suggest a brim for adhesion! The tolerance is tight but fits snugly on my test print.

When assembling, the flat end is inserted into one of the 5 slots in the base, the chamfered edges point up and out.

After inserting all upright panels you may find the base wants to curve. If this is the case, place the fully assembled (WITHOUT MARKERS!) stand on your printer heated bed at a temp between 80-90C with some small amount of weight on them. As the parts warm up and the base moves the stress in the print will relax over the course of a couple hours. Once flat, allow to cool to room temps. Once cool, the stand should remain flat while assembled.

On my very VERY old and slow Monoprice Maker Select printer (20-25mm/s speed) I can print the base in 5.5 hours and a hole-filled panel in about 3. The solid panel is estimated at 5 hours. If you have even a decently modern printer I expect it would take anyone else a fraction of that time.
