Soldevi Steam Beast

Boylei Hobby Time's January/February art challenge was ancient history so instead of going with a notable art of mtg's lore I decided to see how many ways I could invoke ancient history.

1. the card was released before I started playing

2. Soldev fell 1609 years before the present day of Magic's story

3. the steam beasts were build based on excavated war machines from the Brother's War ~2900 years earlier

4. the war machines build by Urza and Mishra during the Brothers war were influenced by excavated Thran or Phyrexian tech from the Fall of Thran ~5000 years before that
