GalileoHand V.1

La versión mecánica utiliza el cuerpo para activar / controlar la prótesis, todos los componentes son de bajo costo y deben estar disponibles en cualquier ferretería (tornillos, pernos, hilo elástico, etc.), mientras que el resto son impresos con la printer 3D.

Queremos mantener tanto funcionalidad como su bajo costo y alta fiabilidad, por lo que hemos incorporado un módulo de rotación del pulgar para que la versión mecánica puede hacer 3 tipos de agarre, lo que permite cosas como: recogiendo pequeñas objetos, escritura, cargar una caja de herramientas, leer un periódico, recoger objetos de tamaño medio, entre otras.

Las prótesis GalileoHand impresa en 3D fue diseñado para que pueda ajustarse a las prótesis mecánicas convencionales, en sustitución del dispositivo terminal.

The mechanical version uses body power to activate/control the grasp, all the components are low cost and should be available in any hardware store (screws, bolts, elastic thread, etc.) while the rest are 3D printed.

We want to keep as much functionality in the mechanical version due to it’s low cost and high reliability, which is why we incorporated a thumb rotation module so that the mechanical hand can do 3 types of grasping, allowing for things such as: picking up small objects, writing, carrying a toolbox, reading a newspaper, picking up medium size objects, drinking water, to mention a few.

The 3D printed GalileoHand prostheses was designed to conform to conventional mechanical prostheses, replacing the terminal device.
