Description
Thanks again to rosch8 for the great wind turbine! I've already done a few remixes, this rotor blade design achieves very impressive speeds. Rotor diameter 400 mm, length approx. 350 mm.
After a single bearing for the rotor worked well on some of my wind turbines, I changed the bearing on the MK3. The new rotor is screwed to my neo wind turbine with an M8 threaded rod. There are six different rears and four different tailfins I glued the tail units to the carrier with CA. I also changed the vertical bearing. For my other wind turbines, an 8mm stainless steel or brass rod with a rotating tip glued into the top has proven successful. The M3 screws for the rotor blades are screwed directly into the spinner. I recommend drilling the holes beforehand with a 2.5 mm drill. I recommend slitting the threaded rod at the back so that you can tighten the nut and hold it against it. The 8 mm inner diameter of the vertical axis must be able to rotate easily on the 8 mm round rod. To do this, if necessary, adjust the vertical axis with a test print with "horizontal hole extension" or work on it with an 8.2 mm drill. Glue the round rod tip for easy pivoting in the vertical axis with a drop of glue as shown in the example picture. The 8 mm round rod must sit tightly in the vertical holder, the vertical holder 16x8 fits on a 16 mm rod / pipe, vertical holder 05Zx8 fits a 1/2" water pipe. vertical_holder_mk3_M8.stl is for the original vertical bearing from rosch8.
Required:
1x bearing 608ZZ for rotor
1x threaded rod M8x100 for rotor
3x nut M8 for threaded rod
6x cylinder head screw M3x16 for rotor blade
2x cylinder head screw M4x16 for Koerper
2x cylinder head screw M 4x12 with nut for Heck
1x cylinder screw M 4x10 with nut for tail unit
1x stainless steel or brass rod 8x100 for vertical axis
1x stainless steel or brass or printed rod 8x15 with tip for vertical axis
Assembly:
Nut M8 on threaded rod secure with a drop CA or alternatively a self-locking nut, Distanz1, bearing 608ZZ, press bearing into Spinner, screw rotor blades to Spinner, Distanz8, nut M8, stick or glue Ring on KoerperV, Vertikalachse, KoerperH, insert nuts for Heck into KoerperH, nut M8 secure with a drop of CA or alternatively lock a second nut, screws for Koerper.
I printed all the wind turbines with PLA. I recommend brighter PLA up to 35°C air temperature. If it is warmer or if darker filament should be used, then use PETG or better ASA.
I would be happy about a make or remix...
