This is a remix of the .22LR hinged rugged ammo box by 378plusp

I loved that design for my .22LR and set out to make one for 45ACP ---- THANKS FOR THE OG DESIGN!

The best part about this design is once it has printed, you can add a bead of silicone caulk around the lip and let it dry and create a more water-tight seal when you close the lid.

I printed this on an ender 3 and printed the top and bottom in seperate prints. The bottom i used supports touching buildplate but you may not need to use supports. It took around 27 hours to print the bottom with supports and not using supports only brought it down to around 23 hours so i didnt want to get so far into it to the point where it is printing the overhang and have the print fail due to not using supports.

I designed it so that it would fit both range points and shorter hollow points/critical defence rounds. I had an issue with the 9mm box that i designed on the first print because there was too much space between the top of the round and the lid which meant the round could come out of the hole when the lid was closed if the box was shaken or turned upside down. I designed this box so no matter what type 45ACP round you are using it will stay in when the box is inverted.

Print bottom of box rightside up. (i used supports touching buildplate but you can try without supports and let me know if that works)
