Description

I noticed the forward area in the door tray was pretty useless, so I decided to add some functionality to it. Being new to 3D printing, this isn't anything fancy, but it serves its purpose well. Here's what you need:

Parts List:
• 6mm x 2mm magnets - 28 pieces
• Double-sided tape

Printed Parts:
• CTDoorBaseDriver
• CTDoorBasePass
• CTDoorCubbyPass
• CTDoorCubbyDriver

Printing Tips:
• No supports needed for the base parts.
• For the Cubby parts, I added supports for the magnet holes, but I believe most printers can manage without them.
• Material: I used PETG for durability, but ASA would also be a good choice. I wouldn't recommend PLA because the heat inside a vehicle might cause warping.

Assembly Instructions:

  1. Aligning Magnets:
o Stack all 6mm x 2mm magnets together to ensure they attract each other properly.
o Mark one side of each magnet (the top when stacked).
o Insert the magnets into the holes in both the base and cubby parts, ensuring the marked side is facing outwards on all magnets. This guarantees that the magnets will attract when the parts are brought together.
  2. Attaching Base to Truck:
o Apply double-sided tape to the bottom of both the CTDoorBaseDriver and CTDoorBasePass.
o Ensure the door space is clean and wiped down with rubbing alcohol. Attach these bases to the corresponding space in the Cybertruck door with the magnet side facing down.

This is an easy print, perfect for adding a bit more utility to your car door's storage space. Enjoy! If anyone wants to improve on this feel free and link to it in the comments.
