Description
I found the original standoffs were far too loose to effectively hold the individual elements and the spacings were incorrect.
This remix addresses these issues.
Tip for construction:
When embedding the copper wire into each yagi element, for each corner I firmly pressed the wire into the groove with a flat blade screwdriver and whilst holding it I filled the corner with superglue (cyanoacrylate) and then sprinkled Baking Powder (Sodium Bicarbonate) over the wet glue. This instantly sets the glue hard. After each corner is addressed I then filled the grooves between the corners with glue and set it in the same manner. I then filed the glue/filler flush with the plastic element wafer.
I intend painting the entire antenna once I have soldered the co-ax cable in place.
