UPDATE: 20Mar2025 I have updated the Fusion 360 file to revision 2. Changes include:

  1. Renaming parameters for internal dimensions. With the latch facing towards the observer, the internal dimensions are labeled right to left, front to rear. There are two internal "depths" for the lid and tray respectively. These combined are the total internal height. You can split the volume independently between the top and bottom halves. DO NOT GO BELOW 26 mm on either internal depths, 80 mm front-to-rear, or 64 mm right-to-left. The model will break if you go below these minimums.
  2. The pin separation distance has been lowered from 20 mm to 16 mm. This seems to be a better value.
  3. The hinges are still double-hung because they are stronger this way when the hinge parts are printed on their side. (holes aligned vertically).
  4. Sketches are updated so the parts are all scale properly when the parameters are changed.

This is a simple box with a snap latch I made to hold batteries. I am also including the Fusion 360 file where you can change the parameters to change the size of the box. The top is double hinged so that it can be moved completely out of the way when opened. The hinge pins are steel roll pins 1 x 0.125 inch. The latch pins are 1.5 x 0.125 inch. Many thanks to those who pointed out that I missed these pins in the original post!

Be sure to orient the models for printing and don't use the default orientations. No supports are necessary. Print the latch and hinges on their sides and the box halves with the open side up.
