Description
Hi! I made this adapter for my Powershot G12 so I wouldn't have to buy one for the lens that I bought. It works well but isn't perfect, I put the little slot where its supposed to lock in from rotation in the wrong spot but it friction holds well enough that I don't feel the need to fix it. Not sure if anyone else has ever or will ever have the same need for this print as I did but who knows.
Photos attached show where and how it attaches as well as a picture of it with the lens and without the lens. I apologize for the images being a little dark, my camera might be dying. The lens I bought fits perfectly in the slot and I struggle to pull it out, I am not associated with this ebay seller but heres the link if you want the exact one I got: https://www.ebay.com/itm/122014801555.
The print is designed to have a bit of wiggle room for the camera to zoom in if needed. I only own a G12 so I do not know if it works the same for older or newer models, please find that out on your own terms.
IF YOU ARE UNSURE IF IT WILL WORK FOR YOUR CAMERA, use the test file provided, it is just the bottom locking mechanism of the adapter to check that it will lock correctly instead of printing the whole thing.
Print Details:
PLA on an Ender 3 Pro
Supports touching buildplate, needed to make sure the locking mechanism prints right, removal of supports is trivial.
Printed mine at 0.12mm layer height but I image you could get away with lower resolutions
