"Make Something Cool” Sign

My (pottery/woodworking/3D printing/electronics) workshop is a dark depressing window-less basement about half the size of a 1-car garage. I wish I had one of those spacious super bright workshops with natural light and bird song to motivate me to make, but I don’t, so I have to make do with what I have.

I turned a section of my drab basement into a “green wall”. Basically just plastic fake plants. This was much better on its own but it needed more, so I designed this LED sign. It uses those 6mm neon LED lights (https://a.co/d/4dolxAJ).

I printed it with clear PETG, and had to use Orca Slicer to cut up the design into smaller chunks which needed gluing together. It has holes for zip ties which I used to attach it to the green wall.

I think it turned out pretty great. And I got a little motion sensing fake bird-song doodad also (https://a.co/d/aBkudwE) so I’m covered there as well. :)
