Description
The original drag chain on my Creality K2 Plus finally gave out and started hanging dangerously close to the print head, putting the head at risk of colliding with the chain every time it performed the filament-cutting move to the far left. I’ve already ordered a replacement that should be arriving soon, but in the meantime I hunted for a printable alternative—and despite finding plenty of options, none of the ones I tried worked for me. So I grabbed an existing model and beefed it up with modifications in OrcaSlicer. I don’t have the editable source, only this OrcaSlicer project with modifiers that produce a fully functional part for the K2 Plus.
I only print the links themselves—I left out the clips, since they could tend to fall off. With just the links, the cable will never slip out of the chain.
This is a steroid-pumped remix of https://www.printables.com/model/185127-ar-cable-chain-link-opened for the K2 Plus
Print in ABS 100% infill.
Be sure to recalibrate once it’s installed.
This serves as a temporary stopgap until the proper replacement part arrives.
