Description
For the catching of a queen honeybee off the comb. The 4.2mm slots should allow any worker bees accidentally scooped up to come out but keep the queen trapped. Print parts 1 and 2 and use a standard clothespin spring to assemble. The gap created helps prevent squishing any bees.
I uploaded a version 2 of part 2 of the catcher with a more robust spacing concept, at the cost of a slightly higher pinch chance. I found that even with having multiple height options for the original design spacer, spring variations were too crazy to keep things aligned and properly spaced. I left them for you to tinker with if you like.
