2026-05-28: Updated the profile of the seal, seal now has slightly tighter fit but is still free of stiction
This is a Double Lip Wiper Seal for the Nosfet Apex.
This seal is a work-in-progress and provided as is. I have personally very good experience using this seal and I have heard mostly positive reports from others but also one person who complained about dirt ingress. I can't stress enough that printing this seal require a well tuned printer and filament for proper tolerances and to work as intended.
The goal of designing this seal is to reduce or completely eliminate stiction on the sliders compared to the stock seals, this is achieved with better tolerances (inner dimension matching the stanchion pipe more precisely, proper dimensional space inside for the fitting) as well as using TPU as the material which is great for this type of application, this way stiction can be completely eliminated which in turn means much greater suspension performance, even without lubrication these seals will move effortless on the stanchions but using grease lubrication (such as Slickolium or SRAM Butter) is still recommended to protect the metallic parts of the stanchions.

To print this seal you can use a 0.6, 0.4 or 0.2 sized nozzle, your TPU filament needs to be properly flow calibrated for good dimensional accuracy.
TPU should be TPU95A most branded TPU95A would work but avoid overture as it's softer.
You need to print 4 of these, 2 on each side top & bottom, inspect each one after printing and re-print them if there are any flaws.
Personally I use Orca Slicer with "Scarf joint seam" to minimize the seams.
0.6 Nozzle Settings:
Layer Height: 0.25
Line Width: 0.5
100% Walls/Infill (Solid)
Supports are not needed.
Wall order should be "Outside to Inside" for best dimensional accuracy.
First layer should to be same size as rest of print, that is 100%.
0.4 Nozzle Settings:
Layer Height: 0.25
Line Width: 0.5
100% Walls/Infill (Solid)
Supports are not needed.
Wall order should be "Outside to Inside" for best dimensional accuracy.
First layer should to be same size as rest of print, that is 100%.
0.2 Nozzle Settings:
Layer Height: 0.1
Line Width: 0.25
100% Walls/Infill (Solid)
Supports are not needed.
Wall order should be "Outside to Inside" for best dimensional accuracy.
First layer should to be same size as rest of print, that is 100%.
