This is the magnetic upper half of a widely available, inexpensive 30 cm two sided turntable (Aliexpress). The top and bottom of the turntable can be separated by carefully spreading the plates apart in the middle using a flat spreading tool (e.g., 2 cm wide flat steel, chisel, or similar). Magnets (10x2) are glued into the new magnetic plate, which is then clicked onto the axle of the original lower plate. The magnets are then covered flush with 10/6 mm standard scan markers.
Using the magnet adapters, Paw85s individual modular SMMT marker towers can be positioned on the turntable magnets, as well as several along the edge of the plate. For this purpose, additional 10x2 magnets are glued into the respective adapters. Please note the polarization before gluing. In addition, the turntable runs less smoothly because the magnets attract the steel ball bearings. This can be remedied with non-magnetic 8 mm balls (e.g., PTFE, glass, ZRO2), but it does not bother me personally when scanning.

Das ist eine magnetische Oberhälfte eines günstigen zweiseitigen 30cm Drehtellers (Aliexpress). Die Ober- und Unterseite des Drehtellers sind trennbar, indem man die Platten in der Mitte durch Drehung eines flachen Spreizwerkzeugs (z. B. 2cm breiter Flachstahl, Meisel o.ä.) vorsichtig auseinanderspreizt. In die neue Magnetplatte werden Magnete (10x2) eingeklebt und danach wird sie auf die Achse der unteren Originalplatte aufgeklickt. Im Anschluss werden die Magnete mit 10/6mm Standard-Scanmarkern bündig überklebt.
Auf die Drehteller-Magnete können mittels der Magnetadapter sowohl einzelne modulare SMMT Markertürme von Paw85 positioniert werden, als auch mehrere entlang des Tellerrandes. In die jeweiligen Adapter werden dafür weitere 10x2 Magnete eingeklebt. Beachtet vor dem Verkleben bitte die Polarisation. Außerdem läuft der Drehteller weniger geschmeidig, da die Magnete die Lager-Stahlkugeln anziehen. Dies lässt sich mit nicht-magnetischen 8mm Kugeln (z. B. PTFE, Glas, ZRO2) beheben, stört mich persönlich aber nicht beim Scannen.
