Description
Rocky and Bullwinkle, an American animated television series produced by Jay Ward Productions.
The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle and Friends series is known for quality writing and wry humor. Mixing puns, cultural and topical satire, and self-referential humor, it appealed to adults as well as children.
This model is a scene from the famous short, 'Hey Rocky Watch Me Pull a Rabbit Out Of My Hat'.
Supports and rafts ARE required on a number of parts. See notes for specific very helpful printing and assembly tips.
Warning some very small parts. Be sure to read all the notes
If you have the proper filament colors, no painting is needed.
The assembled model is 210mm tall.
Enjoy!

Printing and assembly tips
Printing tips
1 - Supports and rafts ARE required on a number of parts. I positioned the parts that require supports so that any scarring should not detract from the model.
(note: some slicers consider the support angle where 90deg is vertical and other slicers consider 0 deg as vertical. I use my suggestions based on 90 deg as vertical)
*supports: organic/tree supports with a reduced threshold of 29 deg were used on:
rocky_body
b_head
hand_left
shirt
jacket, plus paint on supports around the lower arm on the bed. Or use the optional jacket_with_braces (no paint on supports needed) along with the regular 29 deg supports.
2 - There are some pieces that may need brims or rafts, use your discretion. When setting up my prints I prefer to be conservative to ensure the least chance of a print failure, especially since the base of many parts are hidden when inserted into another part. Rafts also ensure that the first layer of small parts will have a better fit for my models.
*I used a raft on the following parts and strongly recommend it for this model:
eye_black_left
eyeblack_right
b_eue_black_left
b_eye_black_right
nose
stand_tassle
hair_1
hair_2
*I used a brim, out of abundance of caution, on the following parts:
hand_right
hand_left
helmet
4 - When removing parts from the printer bed, it's a VERY good idea to place left/right parts into separate containers to help with the assembly process. Sometimes the difference between the left and right parts is very small but it is still worth keeping track of them and assembling them in their proper place.
5 - A number of the parts are quite small and easily lost. I highly recommend printing extra copies.
6 - Since Bullwinkle's eye_blacks as so small, optional parts for his eyes can be used. Instead of printing his white and black parts separately, the layer change parts can be used by starting with white and switching to black for the last two layers.
7 - During QA, Benoit suggested that printing rocky_body with three perimeters and 40% infill would make him stronger and easier for support removal. He also printed the shirt part with a brim (clean the brim well if used). I sized this model for my shelf space, however, Benoit highly suggests that the model be resized up by the makers due to the small parts.

Assembly tips:
1 - Take your time gluing the model together and enjoy the process. Give some thought into which parts to glue together as groups and then gluing the groups together. Let the glue for each group set completely before combining groups. This advice is especially important for this model.
2 - I used 3D Gloop (strong fast drying) and E6000 (tacky slow drying) glues to put this model together. For both glues using a smaller amount is usually better than more glue.
3 - important for all my models, be sure to dry fit all parts before gluing.
4 - Be sure to remove the small supports from the jacket where the bottom of the shirt fits in. I forgot to do this and kept scratching my head trying to understand why the parts did not fit properly. When inserting the shirt, it slides under the tie portion of the jacket and then the bottom of the shirt should snap slightly into the jacket.
5 - The hairs should be glued into the head before the antlers if you have 'fat' fingers. Put the glue in the hole on the top of the head and insert hair_2. While the glue is still wet, insert hair_1 on either side of hair_2. Neatness does not count, as long as you can see the four hairs.
6 - Use the assembly diagram to see the position of Bullwinkle, as well as the table, on the base. With the model put together, the hat does not touch the table and Rocky is held slightly above both.
7 - Refer to the assembly diagrams in the pictures section as well as the uploaded pictures for putting the model together. The model is meant to be glued.
Do not hesitate to ask questions, feedback is essential to making better models.
