Description
A Universal Presser Roller Foot - for home sewing machines
Fits low-rise shank home sewing machines with 1/4" shafts. These are the same dimensions of the generic sewing feet for home machines you find on Amazon.
Tested of Singer SIMPLE and Singer Heavy Duty sewing Machines
There are two styles I created. The first one has a 10mm diameter roller for pressing the top surface of two materials being sewn together. The wide needle slot accommodates zig zag stich and the thread slots goes to front of the foot for ease of threading. I found that the first style subtracted 3mm of shank movement so I created the second foot with a 7.5mm Roller. The second style does not subtract from shank movement. The foot applies pressure on the forward surface by pressure from the shaft connect Arm at a 5 degree angle. That being said leave the foot raised when no in use to prevent it reforming at zero degree angle.

BUILD:
Some cleaning of parts with a file, razor, or sand paper may be required. I found that chamfering all edges reduced the quality of the piece so 5 minutes of post finishing produces better parts.
All holes are at 2mm. Chase them with a small drill bit or heat the end of an unfolded paperclip with a lighter and press them through the holes.
I found a finish nail perfectly fit the 2mm hole and clipped nails to length and pressed the heads in with a wood burning iron for a smooth finish. After about 8 drafts I changed over to a sturdy paperclip that fit a little looser but did the job fine. A paperclip can be inserted and bent on both ends to retain the parts. The roller should spin freely and make a nice rumbling sound when you push the completed foot on across a hard surface.
FILES:
STYLE1RollerPresserFoot - Prints foot with 10mm roller Wheel
STYLE2RollerPresserFoot - Prints foot with 7.5mm roller Wheel
Separate files for printing the roller by itself are provided for both.
Custom Gear Files for STYLE2 only.
Instructions:
Measurements are taken with the foot assembled without a roller wheel to find the locations of the Dog Feed slots relative to the left side of the foot.
I've printed and tested many feet out of PLA Plus and PETG with great success. More Pictures to come. Please add any custom gears as remixes.
