Xbox OGX-Mini BT Dongle

Heres a dongle I drew up fairly quickly, its designed to be as easy and cheap as possible. It only needs a few components and basic soldering skills.

So you will need:

• Raspberry Pi Pico-W: https://thepihut.com/products/raspberry-pi-pico-w or wherever in your region. Just make sure its a Pico-W.
• Xbox cable for connector: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005007124041394.html
• 4x m2x6mm self tapping screws: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000982209705.html
• Maybe some wire since the one with the Xbox cable isnt great.

As for building, check the pictures for the wiring, it shows the 5v, D-, D+ and GND for both the connector and Pico, you basically need to solder a wire between them. The connector is pretty easy to crack open, just lever in the seam and it splits apart super easy. You can snip the cable further up and pull it through the strain relief however the cables on mine fell apart pretty easily so I choose to replace but you could just use the included wires.

The connector does come with a large metal shield as per the picture however this needs to be cut away. I trimmed it with some side cutters so it was just below the plastic, that way it fits into the case and doesnt interfere with anything. You could probably just bend it back 90 degrees, just gonna make sure it doesnt touch the Pico!

For fitting it into the case, I found it better to split the Xbox connector - I mean slide off the clear plastic from the metal shield, then insert the clear plastic into the 3D printed base. Make sure you get the correct orientation, you can study the pictures, then slide the metal shield into the clear plastic for a nice snug fit. Theres also an insert, this slides inside and stops the connector from being pushed in, I put a few small dabs of super glue to secure the insert.

Note that the picture showing the wires and soldering to the Pico-W is kinda shown incorrectly as the Pico-W was then rotated 180. The case top is just friction fitted and holds fairly well, however you could always add a dab of superglue to secure it.
