Sliding Screen Door Latch Strike

A simple, durable replacement latch strike for a sliding screen door. I designed this because it was significantly quicker and easier to model and print a custom fit than it was to hunt for the specific matching hardware at the store.

Features & Dimensions:
*This strike is designed with a slight taper for a snug fit and slotted mounting holes for easy adjustment during installation.
Total Length—1.65 in
Base Length—: 1.25 in
Latch Offset Height—0.3 in
Mounting—Two 0.2 in slotted holes for fine-tuning the latch position.
Width—Tapered from 0.325 in at the base to 0.275 in at the top.

Recommended Print Settings:
*Since this part is under mechanical tension from the door latch, I recommend the following for strength.
Material—PETG or ASA (recommended for UV resistance if exposed to sun, though PLA works for indoor-facing setups).
Layer Height: .12mm (improved layer adhesion)
Wall Count: 10 or more (completely fill with walls to provide better screw-holding strength and keeps from delaminating under load)
Orientation—Print on its side for maximum hook strength (prevents the latch from snapping along layer lines).
