Description

This is a 4" hose adapter for the DeWalt DW735 13" planer. It directs the hose 45 degrees to the left or right of the planer to keep the hose out of the way. I wend with a 45 degree angle to avoid needing supports. There is a left and right version. This is your left or right when standing at the infeed of the planer.

There are a few of these models already out here and many of them work great. I'm just trying to find excuses to up my Autodesk Fusion skills. A hose adapter is something I've never tried.

There is a slight taper on the hose end so a 4" dust hose fist pretty snug.

I'm including the Fusion files. The only difference between left and right is the orientation of the twist lock. Everything is pretty well parameterized, so you should be able to make changes if you want a different angle or hose size.

I'm not an expert in Fusion, so it's possible some things will break. I do know if you want a more severe angle, you'll need to lengthen the bendLength a bit. If you want straight adapter, you'll need to set the bend angle to something like 0.01 degrees. The loft is using a center line, which is expecting a radius in my model.

I printed mine in PETG at 0.2 layer height with 15% infill. No supports should be needed as is.

I hope this is helpful for some of you out there. Happy printing and happy woodworking.
