Description
LilyGO T-A7670G Enclosure (LTE + GPS, 18650)
This was built as a part for LilySPOT - http://github.com/cantechit/lilyspot
A compact, screw-together case for the LilyGO T-A7670G long board — the LTE + GPS variant with the on-board 18650 holder. Designed parametrically in OpenSCAD, so almost everything can be toggled or resized to match your build.
Highlights
Prints in two parts (base + lid) with no supports
Held together by 4 screws total — each one runs through the lid, down a standoff column, through the board's corner hole, into a brass heat-set insert in the base. One screw clamps the board and closes the lid.
GPS patch antenna (25×25×7) fully embeds in the lid — glue it in and it can't shift
Self-supporting teardrop wall openings, so the ports print clean
Every hole is a toggle: USB-C, power switch, cable gland, GPS pocket — turn off what you don't need
Optional extras: slim mode (no SD overhang), a concave cradle to mount on a 1.75" tube, and rounded lid corners for zip-tie strapping, this is for use in race cars.
You'll need
4× M3 brass heat-set inserts (4.0 mm OD)
4× M3 socket-cap screws (M3×20 — exact length is printed in the OpenSCAD console)
1× GPS patch antenna 25×25×7 mm
LTE adhesive antenna
Printing
Base: floor down. Lid: outer face down. No supports, PLA is fine (~3 walls, 20% infill).
Print the test coupons first. Small, fast prints that confirm the insert fit, board seating, and port alignment before you commit to the full case.
Customizing
Open the .scad in OpenSCAD and use the toggle block at the top. If the lid bottoms out on your board, increase col_gap. If your board revision has the USB/switch in different spots, adjust usb_yc / sw_yc and re-check with the ports coupon.
