Description
I use the Racebox Micro with a 500mAh lipo stuck to the bottom and use a small velcro to attach it to the strap of my rib protector. You'll get better metrics strapped to you and NOT the steering wheel. You can always ziptie to one of the hooks if you still prefer it all together.
For the phone mount, it's just a motorcycle mount that locks and most importantly has a "vibration dampener" because those are the holes that are needed to mount to the plate. (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0G3PKTTBJ?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1). No need to open up the phone mount. The vibration part will be discarded. Inside the rubber boots are a M3 9mm standoffs. Just grip it thru the boot, loosen and keep the M3 bolts & washers. If the standoffs get loose with the screw inside the phone mount, you will have to open it up. It's pretty basic inside. Remove the rubber pad but warm with a heatgun prior to soften the glue. There are 5 screws and 4 tab stays inside to pry open. Tighten things back up & reassemble.
For the strap, its just a 12" x 2" elastic velcro (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B097BG9Q9F?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1). Cut the buckle down to be used as the strap stay in the phone mount plate.
For the hooks, use 4 M3 x 12mm button head bolts and 4 M3 nylock nuts
