Description
Two months ago, I made a quick and crude prototype of a 3D-printed extension for the original LiberNovo Omni chair. The problem was that I'm 192 cm (6'3") tall, and I constantly had to readjust my seating position because of the sliding effect.
My solution was to reclaim a little bit of seat depth by positioning the backrest slightly farther back. The "trick" of rotating the backrest mount didn't help enough and introduced a few problems of its own. It's not a huge difference, but it solved the issue for me, and I'm happy with it.
The part was printed on a Formlabs Form 4 using Tough 1500 resin, so it looks good and is more than strong enough for the job. The Steel rode from my hardware store is 8mmDia x 90mmL. I'd be happy to design a cleaner, better-looking, and more refined version if there's interest from more than just one or two people.
If not, then hopefully this will inspire others, just like the backrest rotation trick inspired me.
