Transmitter module case for Turnigy 9X - to fit FrSky DHT module

This is a replacement transmitter module case for the Hobby King Turnigy 9x. If you want to upgrade the unit to the FrSky DHT radio module, there are several ways to install it inside the transmitter. But I decided to install it in the same location and so needed a new case.

I located the antenna in the regular position, so it still needs to run down and through a hole to the module. An antenna mount is included with this design. It is designed to be a tight press fit onto the existing stem. The bind button and LED is mounted on the back lid, and the connection to the transmitter pins is by means of a header connector. The board is just poster taped to the back of the box. I did not use the toggle switch as I only use the D-mode of the transmitter, so it is not even installed. Telemetery will be run out the back via the same hole.

You should only need supports under the wing tabs, and under the antenna adapter.
