Description

This is vintage analogue weight scale. Switchable 2 scale options 0-100g or 0-14g.

The scale was calibrated with digital cooking scale using water and 2x 0,5 euro coins as counter-weight. In case you want your own calibration and different scaling, there is also empty scale attached. (plate nr.4) Modify as you wish.

I did print Plate nr.5 with 0,2mm nozzle as there are very fine details on that one!!!

Printing plastic screw is very tricky for tolerances so I didn't include this. I used just 6mm tappered hole for metal screw insert and screw with handling caps. Feel free to modify or just used plastic feet. All attached in print plates.

For build you will need:

0,5 euro coins - 2x

M3x6mm screw -2x

M3x8mm screw - 1x

2x20mm steel pins  - 2x  (maybe wooden toothpicks would work, didnt tried, but steel has lower friction as bearing)

M4x30mm screw - 1x (optionable)

M4 screw insert/nut (optionable)

Notes:

just hammer the steel pins into the main needle arm and connect together with main pilar and second arm. For bottom small arm use M3x6mm screw and M3x8mm one to the body part. Do not screw all the way down, so arm is free to move!

For main needle and counter-weight use M3x6 screw, screw so it feels sturdy enough but still enable you to switch counter-weight setting. Insert two coins and close with lid. I used just a small piece of duct tape to hold it in place.

Enjoy the build!
