(My 3yo twins really enjoy these! I gave a couple to friends w/ kids under 1yo who loved them as well. Remember, bacteria can build up between layer lines. So I was sure to remind them to avoid mouth contact, & sanitize the rainstick every so often.)
My original hope was for this to sound more like a rainstick. But it's really not long enough for that, nor does it make the right sound. So I think it's more appropriate to call it a “rattle” or a “shaker”
The intention was for the texture of the main “wood” portion to look like a tree branch
The print is set to pause at layer 825, so you can put some purge/poop waste in (MAYBE print a funnel first)
Consider breaking up your purges/poops as much as possible, before filling - to optimize free movement for noises from impact/friction. I would fill it up ~¼ of the way
There are a couple bridges, in the hollow core, for the pieces of filament to bounce off
I have uploaded a “Pauses” version for non-ams users. It will be more involved - but you can easily get away with manually swapping filaments for a multi-color result
The colored band uses fuzzy skin: .8mm distance & .2mm thickness
