Description

Boost MeIf you enjoy this model, your support is much appreciated!

These travel bidets have become very popular in the backpacking and hiking communities I follow, so I thought why not create a model that can be adjusted for just about any bottle. This bidet is small and lightweight, great for travel, camping, backpacking, or just about anywhere nature calls. I've tested the fit across multiple brands of water and soda bottles and it creates a strong stream with no leaking. There is a hole to make it easy to attach a keyring or paracord.

There are 4 profiles provided as well as the generator used to create the models. The profiles will fit most of the plastic bottle threads you'll find today and have varying grip patterns. I have printed these in both PLA and PETG, I recommend PETG due to strength and UV resistance.

There are multiple grip patterns to choose from. The generator also provides a 3MF only download, which will automatically set the color of the model to the color you choose in the slicer. These colors have the same exact hex code as the Bambu PLA and Bambu PLA Matte colors.

Testing

The following plastic bottles were tested for both leakage and stream strength. I did not encounter any leaking from the threads.

  • Standard, 1 thread start bottles
    • 20oz Coca-Cola
    • SmartWater
    • Aquafina
  • 3 thread start, reduced plastic bottles
    • Arrowhead
    • Generic store brand (Kroger)
    • Splash

Generator

If the provided models do not fit your bottle, you can use the generator to create a bidet that will . You will need to take several measurements of the bottle in order to create a bidet that fits and does not leak.

  1. Thread Pitch - The vertical distance between thread peaks.
  2. Thread Diameter - The horizontal distance between thread peaks.
  3. Thread Height - The overall vertical height of the threads.
  4. Neck Height - The vertical height from the lip to the very top of the bottle. This should be larger than the thread height.
  5. Thread Starts - The number of thread starts on the bottle. Soda bottles typically have 1, reduced plastic (slim cap) typically have 3.

Parameters

The default parameters will fit your typical soda and water bottle thread. You can set the color for automatic filament assignment when exporting as a 3MF. There are several grip patterns to choose from as well.
