Description
This is a mortise jig for woodworking to be used with a router and a router bushing. Â You can align the fixture on the wood piece and center it using the centerline built into the fixture. Â There are multiple size fixtures for different size tenons to be used for .75" thick boards. Â The different size fixtures are listed below. Â Each fixture can be used with a .375" router bit and a .250" router bit. Â Depending on which size bit you use will determine the length of the mortise. Â These fixtures use a .750" OD x .654 ID router bushing. Â To help you know what size mortise the fixture will is, the size is printed into the bottom of the fixture. Â You just need to make sure you choose a different color filament for the text.
Â
Fixture sizes are grouped. Â Each fixture has two different length mortises depending on the diameter of the router bit. Â They are listed below.
Â
.375" Diameter bit = 1.00"L x .375"W
.250" Diameter bit = Â .875"L x .350"W
Â
.375" Diameter bit = 1.50"L x .375"W
.250" Diameter bit = Â .1.375"L x .350"W
Â
.375" Diameter bit = 2.00"L x .375"W
.250" Diameter bit = Â 1.875"L x .350"W
Â
.375" Diameter bit = 2.50"L x .375"W
.250" Diameter bit = 1.375"L x .350"W
Â
.375" Diameter bit = 3.00"L x .375"W
.250" Diameter bit = Â 2.875"L x .350"W
