90mm Floating Jerkbait Fishing Lure

A 3D-printable 90mm jerkbait designed for floating or slow-rise action. Featuring a detailed fish-like profile with scale texture, recessed lip, and internal compartments for wire, ballast, and optional rattles. Tuned for use in both freshwater and brackish environments, this lure offers excellent action for predatory species.

Specs (90mm version):

Final target weight: 11.5–12.0g for floating/semi-floating

Requires:

• ~6.6g of printed plastic (ABS recommended)
• One 2g lead ballast (fixed under the belly) / or 3 to 6 Ø4mm steel balls (for rattling)
• ~3.5g total of hardware (hooks, split rings, wire, epoxy)
• Designed for 1mm stainless steel wire for through-body rigging

Tuning Guide (ABS or similar material):

• <11.5g → floating
• 11.5–12.5g → slow rise / semi-floating
• >12.5g → slow sink

Print Recommendations:

• Material: ABS
• Wall Loops: 4
• Infill: no infill required
• Supports: Not required

Assembly Notes:

• Insert weights and wire before closing
• Bond halves with superglue + baking soda
• Light sanding and cleanup at seam may be required

Finishing Suggestions:

• Paint using Createx Wicked Pearl or similar airbrush paints
• Apply 2 layers of low-viscosity UV epoxy resin for shine, durability, and waterproofing
