1/18 TRX4M Buggy Body – Scaled, Modified & Ready to Mount

This is a custom body shell for the 1/18 scale TRX4M, based on a 1/10 model originally found on Thingiverse. I scaled it down to fit the TRX4M, made mounting parts for the front and rear, enlarged the bolt holes for M2 hardware, and simplified the design for easier printing and assembly.

What’s Modified:

  • Scaled down from 1/10 to 1/18
  • Added front and rear body mounts
  • Enlarged holes to fit M2 bolts
  • Simplified body details for cleaner prints and better fit

Assembly Instructions:

You’ll need 8x M2 x 10mm bolts to assemble everything.

  1. Join the Body Halves
Use 4 bolts to attach the front and rear parts of the body shell together.
  2. Attach the Front Mount
The front mount connects to the body using 2 bolts through the vertical slits in the front.
    • The higher you place the bolts in the slits, the lower the front of the body will sit.
    • I usually position them around the middle of the slits for a balanced look.
  3. Mount to the TRX4M (Front)
Remove the stock front bumper and reuse those screws to attach the front mount directly to the chassis.
    • This also works as a hinge, letting you tilt the body up instead of fully removing it.
  4. Mount to the TRX4M (Rear)
The rear mount attaches the same way—remove the stock rear bumper and use the existing screws.
    • No need to bolt it through the body—just screw 2 bolts directly into the mount to hold it in place.
