AMS Side Wedge for Filament Dry Box Label

I really, really like Genetic Design's hinged filament dry box labels. A lot. The AMS clip-on holders addon for it is great too. However, there was one issue: How do you attach a filament label to the spool when using a side spool holder?

 

The answer is this model: It's a little block that wedges into the hollow space on the side of the AMS.

 

 

Of course, to use this effectively, your AMS must be placed directly on your printer or somewhere else close to your external spool holder.

 

This only works with the AMS that have three side “ribs”, not the one with five. I don't have one with five so I can't test/adjust for that, unfortunately. If you'd like me to and can supply measurements of the ribs version, I can make one for you to test print.

 

 

The print profile is set to print this model on its head so no supports are needed. When attaching, the long wedge bit faces the top and the groove of the shorter holder piece faces the AMS (as the top of the labels will face the AMS as well).
