 📖 Description

 

      This motorized turntable is designed to make it easier to photograph and film small to mid-size figures, 3D prints, and products.
It offers smooth, consistent motion with adjustable rotation speed using a PWM DC motor controller.

      The platform has an outer diameter of 210 mm and a height of 47 mm, making it compact on the desk while still suitable for most small and medium objects.
      Four 608 bearings and a gear transmission keep the motion stable and reduce wobble.

      Powered by a 9V battery and a PWM DC motor speed controller, you can set the rotation from a slow cinematic turn to a slightly faster spin for previews.
      The design is support-free, easy to print, assemble, and integrate into any small photo or scanning setup.

• 1 × TT Motor DC5V 59RPM CCW Single Axis (LA001)– available from BambuLab Store
• 1 × PWM DC motor speed controller
• 1 × 9V battery

⚙️ Print Settings / Tips

• Material: PLA or PETG
• Layer height: ~0.2 mm (0.16 mm if you want a smoother top surface)
• Infill: 20–25%
• Walls: 3 perimeters; 4–5 top/bottom layers
• Supports: No supports needed – all parts are designed for support-free printing.
• Orientation:

 Platform: print flat on the bed
 Gears/structural parts: printed flat
 Shaft: printed vertically for strength

 

🔧 Assembly & Use

1. Insert the 4 bearings and ensure they spin freely.
2. Install the motor and gear, check that the gear meshes smoothly.
3. Connect the motor to the PWM controller and 9V battery.
4. Start at a low PWM setting and increase until you reach the desired speed.

Great for figures, miniatures, 3D prints, small products, and as a stable 3D scanning platform.
For smoother videos, place a thin rubber pad or foam under the base to reduce vibrations.
