Description
This is a handy jig for helping spray finish on a fender-style bolt-on neck guitar. The 3D printed parts fit the standard neck pocket dimensions and provide a handle for holding a guitar neck and body for spraying. Both are intended to be screwed onto a standard broom handle that you cut to length as desired. I used #8 x 1" screws to attach. To attach to the neck or body, just use standard neck attachment screws.
There is also a file for a stand that you can place the parts in for drying. I screwed these down to a plywood board.
Because you've made it to the finishing stage, these parts are printed to be very sturdy to reduce risk of mishaps. The stand and neck portions are 50% infill and the body portion (which will take screws) is 100% infill.
UPDATE 3/11/26 - I noticed that the neck portion covered up more than my neck pocket. I've since shortened the neck jig by ¼" to help. Since neck pockets and screw holes could be different, I recommend scribing a line on the neck first and verifying coverage.
