Dave Grohl Gibson DG-335 miniature guitar

Hi There,

This is my very detailed model of the Dave Grohl Signature Gibson DG-335 semi-hollow guitar. I have been making a collection of my favorite guitarists styles of guitars. I have Chuck Berry's style ES-335 already and naturally that transitioned into the DG-335. with new F-holes now shaped like diamonds and the fretboard and headstock to match Dave's signature style. I think his guitar looks epic in the metalic blue. I didnt have a color that was close so I opted to do mine in the alpine white color scheme which looks pretty stunning as well. 

If you desire the highest level of surface finish. The most important setting you should assure to have set to print are the outer walls first then the inner walls. This setting I believe is found in the advanced settings under quality. Order of walls : Outer/Inner must be on.

In order to complete the model you will need a couple of drill bits to upsize or round out the holes. Because it is printed vertically that affects the top of the circular holes to print oblong. I used a 1/8" drill bit to open up the holes in the front face where the switch, knobs and audio jack go. For the saddle and the bridge you will need a 9/64" drill bit. Lastly, for the strap buckle holes you will need an 11/64" drill bit. Be very careful opening up the top strap hole where the neck is mounted. there is very little edge distance from the lip and can break there.
