Description
For the ancient Romans, architecture and symbolism were inseparable: majestic columns and icons of power spoke a common language that needed no words. They formed a visual vocabulary of imperium ("command"), the authority carried by an imperator ("commander"), that was written into the very structure of Roman civic life. That same vocabulary has echoed through the centuries, finding its way into our monuments and the halls of modern republics – even surrounding the great liberator himself, Abraham Lincoln, in D.C.'s Lincoln Memorial. Now you can carry this piece of history into your own board games and card games as a playmat storage tube. Even better if you're using it in a game of Magic: The Gathering's popular format – Commander!
This profile has a 50mm internal diameter and runs 360mm long internally, which fits a tightly-rolled, regular-sized playmat. Higher-quality, better-padded playmats might require resizing to fit; I'd recommend simply upscaling laterally by 120% for an internal diameter of 60mm. Don't forget to resize the caps, too.
To assemble the storage tube, simply print three tube segments, screw them together, print one of each cap, and screw them on the ends. Feel free to glue parts of the assembly together but it's not necessary. They should close tightly.
(Note: Though Bambu has labeled it as an Image to Keychain model, this design was not created using AI. I designed it myself in Shapr3d. I respect creators who use AI for their 3D designs; I also use it in my daily life. But this model was designed by hand and used in my own games for months before being uploaded.)
