Description
This is a parametric light holder for the BIQU Panda Lux A1 LED kit.
Rebuilt from the ground up, Based on the idea by djferre here: The Cover A1 Panda Biqu Lux LED
tldr; djferre's model is a great idea, but as mentioned in their description; not all LEDs are made equal.
This version allows you to use the Customiser to change the spacing between the LEDs, the diameter, and some other variable size and positioning parameters.
Other features/refinements to the concept that I have made:
The main thing to customize is the distance between each LED “led spacing mm”.
I believe the default is approximately 21mm, I found that my LEDs (purchased in the UK in 2026 from amazon) were closer to 20.8mm, so the distance of 20.82mm was right for me.
You can ballpark the difference by measuring how much smaller/larger the gap in your LEDs total, divided by the count of LEDs (14 by default).
If you're measuring for accuracy with a set of calipers, the distance is the center distance between each LED.
If there's more slop, you're not sure, or you want to experiment, increase the “led d mm” variable, that's the hole diameter for each LED, the default is about 10mm and is a loose enough fit to easily insert and remove the LEDs. Going up by a couple MM will allow you to be slightly wrong on the other variable.
The other variables included are for drastic differences (LED count), or fine tuning alignment (insets). Their description should be enough to give you an idea of how to modify them for your needs.
